Model-based room book

Capture building data interconnectedly. Understand spaces precisely. Make informed decisions.

big®’s model-based room book consolidates all relevant room and building data into a consistent, up-to-date overview. Models, lists, and documents are automatically merged, providing a reliable foundation for planning, execution, commissioning, and operation. This creates a fully transparent data space that supplies all participants with precise information.

Central, consistent overview of all room data

big® automatically combines models, lists, and documents into a seamless, redundancy-free representation of all rooms. The three-dimensional overlay of the discipline models precisely defines fixtures, MEP, and equipment, and automatically generates room-specific component lists. This ensures that up-to-date, consistent, and fully interconnected room data is always available – without additional maintenance effort for the project team.

Flexible work and seamless integration of all disciplines

Room and building data can be directly supplemented from the models, via Excel lists, or by manual input, allowing each discipline to continue working in their preferred software. Specialized information is automatically assigned as attributes or components to the respective rooms and remains traceable at all times. This creates a unified, interdisciplinary data space that supports individual workflows and centralizes all information.

big®’s model-based room book provides reliable, verifiable, and always up-to-date room data as the basis for informed decisions. It reduces effort, improves data quality, and ensures maximum transparency throughout the entire building lifecycle. Additionally, all information can be exported at any time as a cleanly laid-out, fully formatted room book – for example, as a PDF or multisheet export – in the desired design.
